[Edaily Starin Reporter KIM HYUNSIK ] Woo Seo-yoon (23), daughter of basketball star Woo Ji-won (53), belatedly shared her thoughts on being crowned Miss Korea “Jin” (眞).

On the 16th, Woo Seo-yoon posted several photos on her social

taken when she was crowned “Jin” at the “2026 Miss Korea Pageant” held last August. She also shared a commemorative photo taken with her father, Woo Ji-won, at the event.
In the accompanying post, Woo Seo-yoon wrote, “For me, this pageant goes beyond just being a competition; it will remain a once-in-a-lifetime, invaluable experience.”
She added, “Being able to create precious memories I will cherish for a lifetime and form meaningful connections with wonderful people has been the greatest gift of all to me.”
Furthermore, Woo Seo-yoon expressed, “I sincerely thank you for all the interest and warm support you’ve shown me,” and pledged, “I will become someone who can repay your kindness by making a positive impact.”
Finally, she stated, “I will learn and strive every moment to grow day by day so that I can become a person worthy of the title of Miss Korea Jin.”
Woo Seo-yoon advanced to the finals after winning the “Goodness” category in the Miss Seoul-Gyeonggi-Incheon regional competition and went on to claim the title of Miss Korea. Following the pageant, she faced allegations of plastic surgery raised by some netizens.
