He confessed that he used to have a somewhat strict and sharp side, adding, “My perspective on life completely changed after battling cancer. I thought I needed to be more forgiving and open-minded.” He continued, “I’m in the best physical condition of my entire life right now,” adding, “Living a healthy life is the least I can do to show my gratitude to those who supported me.” Ahn Chi-hwan also mentioned that after gaining popularity with songs like “If I Were…” and “People Are More Beautiful Than Flowers,” he was labeled a “traitor.” He explained that he faced a barrage of criticism claiming his musical direction had shifted when he began performing lyrical songs, having previously focused on songs reflecting social realities, such as “The Iron Worker” and “Pine Tree, Pine Tree, Lush Green Pine Tree.” Ahn Chi-hwan countered, “Why is it wrong to sing beautiful, good songs?” adding, “The world changes; songs can’t always have the same message.” He went on to express his conviction, saying, “Times have changed. In a changing world, I must always consider what kind of songs I should sing.” Ahn Chi-hwan recently released his 15th studio album, “Seize The Day.” “Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night” will air tonight at 9:40 p.m.
