[Edaily Reporter Choi Oh-hyun ] LGELECTRONICS has unveiled the “Multi V7,” a next-generation system air conditioner that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance heating, cooling, and energy efficiency. LGELECTRONICS is also continuing to expand its business scope by introducing integrated heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions that span everything from residential heating and cooling to AI data center cooling.

LGELECTRONICS unveiled its new commercial system air conditioner, the LG Multi V 7, for the first time on the 21st at the “Korea International HVAC&R Exhibition (HARFKO) 2026” held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The Multi V 7 features “Dual AI” technology, which combines on-device AI built into the unit itself with internet-based cloud AI. The on-device AI learns the product’s installation environment and customer usage patterns in real time to adjust heating and cooling. The cloud AI analyzes operating data and establishes optimal operating strategies to enhance performance and stability.

It also features AI Smart Care. The AI analyzes various simulated operating scenarios to suggest operating modes that balance comfort and energy efficiency. It also supports noise control based on the surrounding environment, as well as fault prediction and diagnosis functions.

New technology has also been applied to the compressor, a core component of heating and cooling systems. LGELECTRONICS’ newly developed “SPIN X” compressor incorporates a “2-way oil supply structure” and real-time oil condition detection technology. This has improved heating and cooling performance, energy efficiency, and operational stability compared to previous models.

LGELECTRONICS also unveiled a futuristic residential solution utilizing heat pumps. The exhibition hall was designed to resemble an actual living space, showcasing technology that integrates cooling, heating, and hot water supply into a single system—from the outdoor unit room to the living room and bathroom. In particular, the company proposed a heat pump-based heating, cooling, and hot water solution suitable for multi-unit housing, such as apartments in Korea.

The company also exhibited a smart integrated air solution that links air conditioners, air purifiers, and ventilation products to simultaneously manage indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

The company also showcased a wide range of cooling technologies designed for AI data centers. These included chillers that produce cold water, fan wall units (FWUs) that supply cool air inside data centers, cooling water distribution units (CDUs), and cold plates that directly absorb heat from semiconductor chips. It also unveiled liquid immersion cooling solutions—which are gaining attention as next-generation cooling technology—as well as liquid immersion tanks currently under development.
