#Shinsegae Co.,Ltd’s premium living & lifestyle brand “Casamia” announced on the 21st that it is launching “Nuvola” and “Soufflé,” new online-exclusive sofa beds designed to combine the aesthetics of a sofa with the comfort of a bed. Casamia’s “Mode” sofa bed, released last August, has also been well-received. Mode’s average daily sales in September increased approximately fourfold compared to the period immediately following its launch, August 19–31.

Buoyed by this positive customer response, Casamia is expanding its online-exclusive sofa bed lineup. These new products are characterized by combining the inherent space efficiency of a sofa bed with design sophistication and comfort on par with a standard sofa.

First, “Nuvola” is a product that combines a bed and storage functions with a luxurious three-seater sofa design. It features softly curved armrests and fabric woven in a three-dimensional pattern using white and beige yarns, maintaining a clean design even when unfolded into a bed, as the internal structure remains hidden. Notably, a hidden storage compartment under the seat allows users to store bedding when using it as a sofa and back cushions when unfolded into a bed. This eliminates the hassle of having to store bedding and cushions separately every time you switch between sofa and bed modes. “Soufflé” is a two-seater sofa bed that combines a modern classic design with comfort for a good night’s sleep. True to its name—which evokes the image of a dessert soufflé with layers of fluffy batter—it offers a soft and cozy seating experience.

Both products utilize “LIVE SMART,” a water-repellent and stain-resistant functional fabric from the global textile company CULP, to reduce the burden of managing everyday stains. This fabric has earned the highest rating (Grade 5) in both domestic wet resistance and stain removal tests and has also obtained the international textile safety certification “OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.”
