Revenue and operating profit increased by 8.9% and 24.7%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. With this, AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION has achieved revenue growth for nine consecutive quarters. The operating profit margin stood at 10.8%, up 1.4 percentage points (p) from the same period last year.
AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION, the Group’s flagship subsidiary, led the improvement in the Group’s performance. AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION posted revenue of 1.1295 trillion won and operating profit of 115.2 billion won in the third quarter of this year. Revenue and operating profit increased by 11% and 25%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION’s domestic business revenue reached 620.5 billion won, and operating profit reached 84.6 billion won, up 11% and 42%, respectively. Strong sales of key brands such as Sulwhasoo, Hera, Estra, and Ilyoon, combined with expanded revenue from e-commerce, multi-brand shops (MBS), and duty-free channels, led to improvements in both growth and profitability.
By brand, Sulwhasoo recorded double-digit sales growth, driven by its 60th-anniversary campaign for the Jaeumsaeng Cream and strong sales across major channels. Estra saw sales increase by more than 50%, with balanced growth across e-commerce, multi-brand shops (MBS), and medical clinics and hospitals, led by its flagship product, Atobarrier 365.
Ilyoon also continued its strong growth momentum, driven primarily by e-commerce and MBS. Hera, IOPE, and Hanul likewise expanded sales by leveraging their core products. By channel, both e-commerce and MBS sales posted double-digit increases. Department stores maintained their growth trend, driven by higher sales per store, while duty-free sales also rose by double digits due to an increase in tourists visiting Korea.
Overseas operations recorded sales of 495.5 billion won and operating profit of 48.5 billion won, up 12% and 14%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. This was largely driven by the expansion of brands and distribution networks in the Americas, Japan, and other major Asian markets.
In the Americas, Estra and Innisfree showed particularly strong growth. Estra’s sales more than doubled year-over-year as sales increased across online and offline channels, including Sephora and Amazon. Innisfree also saw revenue grow by more than 50%, driven by increased sales of its green tea and sun care products, as well as its PDRN line. Mise-en-Scène’s “Perfect Serum” ranked No. 1 in the styling hair serum category during a promotional event on Amazon U.S.
In Japan, sales of Estra and COSRX each increased by more than 100%, while Hera’s sales rose by more than 90%. COSRX expanded its offline customer reach by entering approximately 2,900 local stores. In India, total sales grew by more than 60%, driven by the growth of major brands such as Laneige, Mamonde’s new market entry, and the expansion of distribution networks.
In the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) market, the company continued to enter new channels and expand its distribution network. COSRX sales increased by more than 30%, with sales on TikTok Shop in the UK rising by more than 200%. ESTRA expanded its European business footprint by securing new listings at Boots in the UK and Matas in Northern Europe.
The derma and hair care businesses, which are being cultivated as next-generation growth engines, also showed strong growth. ESTRA saw its total sales increase by more than 80% due to strong sales in South Korea, North America, and Japan, and expanded its distribution base to Europe and China. COSRX continued to achieve strong sales of its newly developed products, such as the RX line and polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), in the U.S., Japan, and other markets.
Ilyoon’s total third-quarter revenue increased by more than 60% year-over-year. In particular, overseas revenue grew sixfold compared to the same period last year. The hair care division also posted double-digit revenue growth, driven by the expansion of overseas operations for brands such as Mise-en-Scène, Ryeo, and Labo H.
An AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION official stated, “Last year, on the occasion of our 80th anniversary, we unveiled our ‘Create New Beauty’ vision and set mid- to long-term goals of achieving 15 trillion won in revenue by 2035 and becoming a leading global beauty and wellness company,” adding, “To this end, we will strengthen our business structure so that multiple brands can grow together in the global market.”
