Singer WOODZ (real name Jo Seung-yeon) expressed his emotion with these words during his world tour encore concert “Archive. 1: Completed,” held on the 31st of last month at the KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
This marks the first time WOODZ, who debuted in 2014, has held a solo concert at the KSPO DOME—a “K-pop mecca” capable of accommodating over 10,000 spectators per show. Having gained popularity last year thanks to the resurgence of his hit song “Drowning,” he showcased his wide-ranging musical talent and commanding stage presence that day, proving himself a powerhouse performer capable of captivating even the largest venues.
◇A Diverse Musical World Unfolded Through 31 Songs
Previously, following the release of his first full-length album, “Archive One,” in March, Woods embarked on a world tour spanning 26 cities worldwide. He added deeper meaning to the title of this encore performance—which marked the conclusion of the tour—by naming it “Completed,” signifying that the journey was now “complete.”
Over the course of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, Woods drew the audience into his musical world by performing 31 songs. He delivered a genre-spanning performance, transforming at times into an intense rock star and at others into a free-spirited rap star. Accompanied by a live band, Woods skillfully executed everything from explosive high notes to rhythmic rap and delicate emotional expressions.
The concert kicked off with his new song “Come into My World!,” released on the 20th. Appearing in a white outfit and black sunglasses, Woods exuded intense energy from the very beginning, performing “Dirt on My Leather,” “Ready to Fight,” “Bloodline,” and “Downtown” in quick succession.

During the “HIJACK” performance, she showcased her versatility by seamlessly switching between rapping, high notes, and dynamic dance moves. Woods, who performed nonstop through the “Who Knows” and “00:30” stages, said, “I felt fine during yesterday’s rehearsal, but as soon as the show started, I got so excited,” adding, “Today is the day I’m truly going to show what I’m made of.”
For the performances of “Bright Light Flicker” and “Accident,” she put on a large-scale show alongside 20 dancers. The combination of lights shining like starlight in the darkness and the precise group choreography created a spectacular scene. Together with guest rapper Rapusandu, he recreated his performance of “PAJAMA” from Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 12,” further heating up the atmosphere.
Midway through the show, he showcased his charisma on a unique stage designed to resemble a bar, separate from the main stage. Woods captivated the audience with a free-spirited performance of “Waikiki,” climbing up and down the bar counter.
Next, with a guitar slung over his shoulder, Woods performed “I Can’t Live Without You” and “BUMP BUMP,” transforming the venue into a rock festival. The audience rose to their feet in unison, swaying to the music and giving a passionate response. During the jazz segment, joined by brass players, he performed songs like “FEEL LIKE,” “Touche,” and “Lullaby,” revealing a different musical side.
Toward the end of the show, the atmosphere grew even more profound. Returning to the stage in a suit, Woods performed “GLASS,” “I’ll Never Love Again,” and “CINEMA.” As the melodies of a string orchestra were layered over the live band, a grand and lyrical atmosphere unfolded, distinct from the earlier segments of the performance.

◇A Moving “Drowning” Sing-Along with the Audience
The highlight of the concert was undoubtedly the performance of the hit song “Drowning.” Under laser lights that resembled a downpour, Woods showcased his explosive vocal prowess, prompting the audience to burst into a passionate sing-along. After the song ended, at Woods’ request, the audience sang “Drowning” once more without instrumental accompaniment, creating a deeply moving moment. Woods expressed his overwhelming emotion, saying, “I was deeply moved that you all sang with one heart.”
“Drowning” marks a turning point in Woods’ musical career. Released in 2023, the song experienced a resurgence in popularity last year while Woods was serving in the military, sweeping the top spots on major music charts. Building on that success, Woods released his first full-length album, embarked on a world tour, and ultimately performed at the K-Sport Dome. Tickets for the concert, held twice on October 31 and November 1, were completely sold out.
After closing the main set with “AMNESIA” and “Human Extinction,” Woozi returned to the stage for an encore. “I’ll sing this hoping that each of you will welcome your own January,” he said, before performing “To My January.” After performing “Better and Better” and “Journey,” Woods concluded the concert by offering heartfelt thanks to the fans.
“You are the reason I want to become a better person. Thanks to you, my desire to write good songs and be a good person grows even stronger. I don’t know what I’ll accomplish in the future, but I hope you’ll join me on my next journey as well.”
