[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] Amid the “blue wave” in the U.S. midterm elections, in which the Democratic Party secured control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, major South Korean semiconductor stocks are all falling in premarket trading. Although the New York Stock Exchange showed strength overnight, the semiconductor sector appears to be affected by concerns over the Democratic Party’s plans to tighten regulations on artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. Conversely, non-AI stocks are showing strength.
