CJ ENM CO., Ltd. announced on the 5th that, under Korean-adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) on a consolidated basis, it recorded revenue of 1.1904 trillion won and operating profit of 22.1 billion won for the third quarter of this year.

By segment, the Media Platform division posted revenue of 351.8 billion won, a 10.0% increase year-over-year. Operating profit turned positive at 5.9 billion won. This result stemmed from mitigating the decline in TV advertising revenue through strong viewership performance of key content, diversification of advertising products, and expanded sponsorships, despite the seasonal off-peak period in the broadcast advertising market.

TVING’s growth was driven by an increase in subscribers and expanded advertising revenue. Advertising revenue rose 42.1% year-over-year. Notably, the service maintained its growth momentum despite a reduction in KBO game broadcasts and gaps in its original content lineup, demonstrating its business competitiveness with subscriptions and advertising as its two main pillars.

The company also expanded its global distribution network. Following its launch on HBO Max in 18 Asia-Pacific regions and Disney+ in Japan, TVING unveiled a branded section on MBC Shahid, which serves 24 regions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), last August.

The film and drama division posted revenue of 285.3 billion won and an operating profit of 15.5 billion won. Improved performance was driven by the delivery of the Netflix original *Slowly, Intensely* and the expansion of pre-sales of content—such as *Four Hands* and *Going to Work Tomorrow*—to global over-the-top (OTT) services. In July, the company added another overseas distribution channel by signing a content partnership with Amazon Prime Video India.

The global success of premium content also continued. The TV series “East of Eden” and the film “Beasts” each ranked No. 1 in Netflix’s global English-language TV and film categories, respectively. “Even Lottery Winners Go to Work” topped the Disney+ Japan drama chart, proving its competitiveness in the global market.

Revenue in the music division reached 204.4 billion won, a 3.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The growth was driven by the album and concert performance results of global artists, as well as the expansion of their tours.

KCON LA 2026 also expanded in scale, attracting over 140,000 attendees and 144 companies and brands. The cumulative views of content uploaded during the event exceeded 43 million. However, the music division posted an operating loss of 7.3 billion won due to the base effect from strong performance in the same period last year, as well as increased investments in ENPLUS original intellectual property (IP) and the development of new artists.

A CJ ENM CO., Ltd. official stated, “In the third quarter, the Media Platform division returned to profitability and the Film & Drama division saw an increase in operating profit, driven by strengthened competitiveness in the advertising business and expanded global content sales.” The official added, “In the fourth quarter, we will pursue the advancement of our integrated advertising business and the expansion of overseas content distribution, while focusing on enhancing the competitiveness of global artists and maximizing the benefits of the peak e-commerce season.”
