[Edaily Reporter KIM EUNG-TAE ] Cosmetics ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) company KOLMAR KOREA(161890)has set out to target the Australian market alongside its clients. The company participated in a cosmetics trade show held in Australia to promote the brands and products of its major clients and expand its network with overseas buyers.

KOLMAR KOREA announced on the 8th that it participated in the “2026 Melbourne Hallyu Expo,” held at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Australia from the 5th to the 7th (local time), accompanied by its clients.
Led by KOLMAR KOREA, six client companies—including Gudai Global (Round Lab), Packet (Mixsoon), Mercisco (Hubloom), I-Unic (I-Unic), G-Best (Nine Tails), and HK inno.N Corporation (B-Wants)—participated in the expo.
At the expo, which featured approximately 110 participating companies, KOLMAR KOREA and its client companies conducted a total of over 150 export consultations. This accounted for more than 10% of all consultations held at the expo, demonstrating strong interest from local buyers in the product competitiveness of KOLMAR KOREA and its clients. The estimated value of these consultations was approximately 6.8 billion won.
The K-Beauty exhibition hall, set up in front of the main entrance to the venue, also drew a steady stream of local buyers and visitors. Approximately 30,000 people attended the two-day event open to the general public, and it is estimated that about 15,000 of them visited the KOLMAR KOREA booth.
The KOLMAR KOREA booth showcased representative K-Beauty products, including sunscreen—which has recently gained global popularity—as well as essences, creams, and sheet masks. The company also hosted a program where visitors could directly verify the UV protection effectiveness of its sunscreens and test five different sun care products.
Recently, K-Beauty has been experiencing remarkable growth in Australia, particularly in the skincare category. This is due to the increasing interest in K-Beauty products—which specialize in strengthening the skin barrier and soothing the skin—given Australia’s climate, characterized by high UV indices and a dry environment. According to KOTRA, Australia’s imports of Korean skincare products reached $147.7 million last year, a 42.1% increase from the previous year. South Korea surpassed France to become the second-largest supplier, and in the first half of this year, it recorded a 19.5% market share, narrowing the gap with the U.S.—the top supplier—to 1.6 percentage points.
A representative from KOLMAR KOREA stated, “This exhibition was meaningful because it allowed us to work with our clients to directly showcase the competitiveness of K-Beauty products to local buyers and consumers,” adding, “Having confirmed the interest in the Australian market, we will continue to expand local sales channels in partnership with our clients and actively support the global expansion of K-Beauty.”
