The Lotte Awards is an event that honors employees and affiliates who have contributed to strengthening the group’s competitiveness over the past year. This year’s Grand Prize was awarded to Lotte Hotel & Resort (Lotte Hotel), which successfully hosted major official events for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) last year.
About 100 people, including Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin, attended the event. Award categories included the Grand Prize, Brand & CX Design, R&D, and Challenge.
Lotte Hotel, which received the Grand Prize, was recognized for successfully handling the banquet, protocol, and catering for last year’s APEC Summit in Gyeongju. The company mobilized approximately 400 culinary and service staff to the site during the event and conducted protocol training for Gyeongju hotel employees well in advance, demonstrating a concerted effort across the entire organization.
Through these efforts, Lotte Hotel is credited with significantly enhancing the Lotte Group’s brand competitiveness in the eyes of heads of state and business leaders from around the world.
In the Sales and Marketing category, #LotteGRS received the Grand Prize for launching a collaboration product with the “Napoli Mafia” from the Netflix variety show “Black & White Chef”; #LotteWellFood was recognized for driving the sustained growth of the “Kancho” brand; and Lotte Advanced Materials won for applying eco-friendly plastic to TV housings.
Additionally, Lotte Basic Materials won an award in the R&D category for developing polypropylene (PP) products for battery separators.
In the Brand & CX Design category, newly established this year, #LotteConstruction, which built a high-end residential brand asset with “Leel,” and Lotte GRS, which laid the groundwork for global expansion, were honored.
Furthermore, in the Challenge category, Lotte Fine Chemicals received an award for developing eco-friendly superabsorbent polymers. This marks the first time the company has won in the Challenge category in four years, since 2022.
