T-Robotics specializes in the development and production of semiconductor wafer transfer robots and vacuum transfer robots for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The company supplies related equipment to major domestic and international semiconductor and display manufacturers, including Samsung Display, LG Display, and BOE, and has accumulated expertise in precision transfer technology based on vacuum environments.
Building on this technical expertise, the company has recently completed the development of a glass substrate transfer robot, a technology gaining attention as a core component of the next-generation semiconductor industry. The company stated that following the registration of a domestic patent for this technology last year, it has recently completed the registration of a Japanese patent as well.
To proactively respond to market demands, T-Robotics is expanding its global patent portfolio, focusing on major semiconductor production hubs such as the United States, Taiwan, and China. The company’s strategy is to secure a technological advantage in the future glass substrate transfer robot market through these efforts.
A T-Robotics official stated, “While discussions regarding the development of next-generation glass substrate-based packaging technologies and the establishment of mass production lines are actively underway in the global semiconductor industry, the number of companies supplying production equipment and automation solutions remains limited due to the market being in its early stages.” The official added, “Following our patent registrations in Korea and Japan, we will secure patents in key countries such as the U.S., Taiwan, and China to strengthen our competitiveness in the glass substrate transfer robot market and actively pursue the expansion of our global customer base and market entry.”
