K-Sunscreen 'Well-Received' in Japan… Gungjung Bibcha Expands Sun Care Portfolio

During this month’s “Qoo10 MegaWari”—Japan’s largest e-commerce discount event—Gungjung Bibchaek’s sun care product line accounted for 69% of total sales. Three flagship products—the “Moisture Sun Stick Mild,” “Moisture Sun Cushion Mild,” and “Waterful Sun Lotion Mild”—led the sales.

Gungjung Bibchaek’s sales during this Mega Wari event increased by approximately 600% compared to its total sales last month. In addition to Qoo10 Japan, Gungjung Bibchaek is expanding its sales through major e-commerce channels such as Amazon Japan.

A company representative stated, “With the recent surge in interest in K-Beauty in the Japanese market, Gungjung Bibchaek’s sun care products and baby line are also receiving a positive response,” adding, “We plan to continue growing into a brand trusted by Japanese consumers based on our expertise and safety standards for infants, toddlers, and those with sensitive skin.”
