Daesang Cheongjeonwon Launches Two Varieties of Kongdam Baekmyeon Yeolmu Noodles

Costco Exclusive Sales Packages Including Young Radish Kimchi

[Edaily Reporter SIN SOO-JUNG ] Daesang(001680) Cheongjeonwon is launching two new varieties of its “Cheongjeonwon Kongdam Baekmyeon” line to meet summer demand for naengmyeon and bibim guksu.

Daesang Cheongjeonwon announced on the 25th that it is launching two new products under its soy milk-based alternative noodle brand, “Kongdam Baekmyeon”: Yeolmu Bibim Noodles and Yeolmu Cold Noodles. Both products are exclusive to Costco and will be sold sequentially at 12 Costco locations nationwide through August 30.

These new products are convenient meal kits consisting of 150g of Kongdam Baekmyeon noodles combined with a sauce or broth. They include Jongga Yeolmu Kimchi, made with 100% domestically sourced agricultural products, to preserve the texture and flavor of the kimchi.

The Youngmu Bibim Noodles feature soy milk-based noodles topped with a bibim sauce made using allulose produced in-house by Daesang. The Youngmu Mul Naengmyeon emphasizes a refreshing taste by incorporating dongchimi broth made from domestically grown radishes.

The preparation process has also been simplified. Simply drain the noodles, add the bibim sauce or dongchimi broth, and serve with the included young radish kimchi. Since no cooking is required, the product is designed to meet the demand for convenient meals during the summer.

Daesang Cheongjeonwon launched “Kongdam Baekmyeon,” a soy milk-based alternative noodle, in 2021. One serving of Kongdam Baekmyeon contains 30 kcal and is both gluten-free and sugar-free. Currently, the Kongdam Baekmyeon lineup has expanded to a total of 10 varieties, including 8 ready-to-eat options—such as Bibim Noodles, Dongchimi Cold Noodles, Nutty Soybean Noodles, Anchovy Noodles, Vietnamese-Style Noodles, Spicy Jajangmyeon, Young Radish Bibim Noodles, and Young Radish Water Cold Noodles—and 2 varieties of dry noodles.

Kim Ji-hyun, Team Leader of Daesang’s Fresh Food Division, said “As the intense summer heat sets in, we are introducing Kongdam Baekmyeon—a lighter, healthier version of yeolmu noodles, a classic summer delicacy—with reduced carbohydrates, calories, and sugar,” she said. “With record-breaking heat forecast, we hope you’ll enjoy a healthy and refreshing summer with Cheongjeonwon’s new Kongdam Baekmyeon products: Yeolmu Bibim Noodles and Yeolmu Water Cold Noodles.”
