[Edaily Reporter SONG YOUNG-DOO ] Celltrion(068270)Celltrion accelerated its efforts to secure next-generation growth engines by holding over 180 meetings with global companies at the Bio International Convention (BIO International Convention, BIO USA), the world’s largest biotech event. The company is credited with identifying a large number of global collaboration opportunities, particularly in the fields of AI-based new drug development, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and multi-antibody (MsAb) therapies.

Celltrion announced on the 26th that it participated in BIO USA, held in San Diego, U.S., from the 22nd to the 25th (local time), and conducted more than 180 business meetings with global pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms. This marks the largest number of meetings Celltrion has held since it began participating in BIO USA.

At the event, Celltrion deployed its ADC and multi-antibody new drug development teams on-site to focus on discussions regarding joint development and technology collaboration. In particular, the company attracted interest from global firms by introducing AI-driven discovery of new targets and portfolio expansion, next-generation multi-antibody design technology, in silico developability assessment, and its data-driven research platform (Healthcare Intelligence Bank).

In the field of raw materials, components, and equipment, the company also held discussions with global firms to enhance production efficiency and strengthen technological competitiveness, and plans to continue these discussions after the event to solidify collaborative relationships.

The on-site response was also enthusiastic. Over 2,000 visitors stopped by the Celltrion booth during the event, setting all-time records for both the number of business meetings and booth visitors. The company attracted the attention of global industry professionals by showcasing content introducing its AI-based new drug development strategy and future growth vision, as well as hosting various interactive events.

A Celltrion official stated, “At this year’s Bio USA, we recorded the highest number of business meetings and booth visitors in our history, confirming the company’s enhanced global standing,” adding, “In particular, interest in next-generation growth drivers—such as ADCs, multi-antibodies, and AI-based new drug development—has significantly increased beyond biosimilars.”

The spokesperson further emphasized, “We will continue to refine the global partnering opportunities identified at this event and translate collaborations in next-generation technology fields into tangible results to strengthen our foundation for future growth.”
