“The Scout” aired its live final episode at 8 p.m. on the 26th. On that day, the 16 contestants performed their final stages under the watchful eyes of the masters Lee Seung-chul, Kim Jae-joong, Wendy, and Young K. Based on a combination of cumulative online votes and final performance scores, Lee San claimed the championship with a total score of 2,261.6 points. Born to a Peruvian mother and a Korean father, Lee San had consistently topped the online polls in every episode and was considered a frontrunner for the title. The “Top 8” included Lee San, along with Kim Yu-shin (2nd place), Park Min-seok (3rd place), Jo Yong-hwan (4th place), Lee Je-bin (5th place), Yang Tae-seon (6th place), Kwon Eui-bin (7th place), and Lee Jin (8th place). Choi Ha-ram (9th), Kim Dong-won (10th), Kim Yeon-gyu (11th), Jin Hyun-jun (12th), Jo Yun-chan (13th), Park Jun-sung (14th), Kim Yun-soo (15th), and Cha Sol-bin (16th) did not make the “Top 8.” The “Top 8” contestants will take the stage alongside Master Lee Seung-cheol at the “The Scout: Reborn” concert, to be held on September 5 at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall. “The Scout” is scheduled to return to viewers with Season 2 in the future.
