[Edaily Reporter KYUNG GYEYOUNG ] Youngone Corporation is advancing its sustainable materials strategy centered on its eco-friendly filling material, Ecoloft.
Youngone Corporation(111770)According to its recently published Sustainability Report, Youngone Corporation is expanding its T2T recycling technology—which repurposes waste clothing and fabric scraps into new fibers—in its filling material business division, while also focusing on product lightweighting, durability enhancement, and the development of down alternatives.
Among these efforts, Ecoloft has emerged as the cornerstone of the insulation business division. Ecoloft refers to high-performance, advanced recycled materials—including T2T recycling technology developed based on Youngone Corporation’s material and production expertise—that incorporate various sustainable material solutions, such as natural and bio-based materials.
Starting with EcoLoft Renew in 2020, Youngone Corporation has introduced: △ EcoLoft Lightflow, which is lightweight and quickly wicks away heat and moisture, which is lightweight yet quickly wicks away heat and moisture; △ EcoLoft Pluff CL, made from 100% recycled PET; and △ EcoLoft Heat Aerolight, which enhances thermal insulation by combining recycled PP with aerogel composite materials.
In addition, Youngone Corporation is pursuing sustainable material innovation through the development of new eco-friendly materials, such as “Bio Nylon 56,” and the expanded use of recycled fabrics. The company plans to establish a textile and fashion research and development (R&D) center by 2027 to strengthen its development of eco-friendly materials and its sustainable production infrastructure.
