The boy group AHOF (Steven, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Woong-ki, Zhang Shuai-bo, Park Han, J.L., Park Ju-won, Zuan, and Daisuke) expressed their determination to kick off their comeback promotions with the title track “RUN TO YOU” from their third mini-album during a comeback media showcase held at 2:00 p.m. on the 8th at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. “Run to You” is a refreshing summer song centered on the theme of “straight-ahead energy” as one moves toward the person they like. K-pop hitmaker El Capitán participated in the composition. Steven introduced the song, saying, “It’s a great song to listen to when you want to cool off or beat the heat.” He continued, “From the moment I first heard the melody of the title track’s demo version, I felt like it was a ‘summer song,’ and all the members reacted by saying, ‘This is going to be a huge hit,’” expressing his confidence in the new track. Park Han said, “It’s a song you can also enjoy by thinking of your ‘straight-ahead target’ as a dream or goal rather than a romantic partner,” adding, “I hope you’ll listen to this new song while thinking of what’s precious to you.” J.L. emphasized, “Our goal for this promotion is to reach No. 1 on music shows with this new song.” A-Hob officially debuted in July of last year as part of the debut group from the SBS idol survival program “Universe League.” With their first mini-album, “WHO WE ARE,” they sang about the imperfect beginnings of youth, and with their second mini-album, “The Passage,” they sang about the growing pains of adolescence. The album features five tracks, including the title track “Run to You,” as well as “Sugar High,” “JUST SAY YES,” “It’s Just Because It’s You,” and “Our Story.” Steven expressed his determination for the comeback, saying, “Through this comeback, I will show you a side of myself that is even more masculine and mature than before.” Previously, Ahop achieved first-week sales of 360,000 copies with their first mini-album. At the time, this ranked fifth among all-time first-week sales records for boy group debut albums. Subsequently, Ahop set a new career high with first-week sales of 380,000 copies for their second mini-album. Daisuke said, “Five of our members are foreign nationals. I believe the secret to our popularity is that we’re a team where diverse cultures come together.” Since last May, Ahop has been carrying out their first Asian tour, “THE FIRST SPARK.” Through this, they have further strengthened their teamwork. Steven emphasized, “Since we’re a group formed through a survival show, we needed time to get in sync,” adding, “Now we understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses well. Thanks to that, we’re able to complement each other’s shortcomings and deliver great performances.” “Run to You” is also a meaningful album released to mark their first anniversary since debut. All tracks will be released at 6 p.m. today via various online music platforms. Cha Woong-ki, who made a comeback after previously being a member of the boy group TOO, stated, “I’d like to thank the fans who made this miracle—the release of our third album—possible,” adding, “I will do my best in our upcoming promotions.”
