According to the Korean Film Council’s Integrated Computerized Network for Movie Tickets as of 5:15 p.m. on the 7th, “Dream Animals” ranked first in advance ticket sales among upcoming animated films, demonstrating high interest from prospective audiences.
“Dream Animals” is an epic adventure in which a group of animal friends sets out to rescue the world of snacks from a cotton-candy villain intent on eliminating all sweets from the world. It is the first theatrical animated film based on the famous Japanese snack intellectual property (IP) “Tabeko Dobutsu” and marks the first animated project of the summer selected by digital IP entertainment company IPX (formerly Line Friends).
Launched in 1978, “Tabeko Dobutsu” has enjoyed steady popularity with its unique concept of animal-shaped cookies inscribed with English words, and is sold in 45 countries and regions worldwide, including Japan.

As an import from IPX—the company behind globally beloved characters such as Line Friends and BT21—the film is generating even more anticipation. With the strong support of the original character’s fanbase and the full backing of family audiences during summer vacation, it is poised to dominate this summer’s box office.
In particular, the thrilling premise of an adventure in the world of snacks and the antics of the adorable characters are building anticipation among prospective viewers. With just two weeks left until its release, reports indicate that inquiries for group screenings from kindergartens and daycare centers are flooding in.
Based on popular biscuit characters, the movie *Dream Animals* will present an original story exclusive to the theatrical release. Featuring animal characters with distinct personalities and superstars who may lack fighting power but are unbeatable in cuteness, the film showcases fantastic teamwork as they embark on a reckless adventure against a cotton-candy villain intent on destroying all snacks, promising plenty of laughs along the way. The film opens on the 24th.
