[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] The CEO of Rznomics Inc., a company developing RNA-based gene therapies, demonstrated his commitment to responsible management by purchasing the company’s shares on the open market. Rznomics Inc. announced on the 10th that CEO Lee Seong-wook purchased 1,000 shares of the company’s common stock on the open market, reflecting his commitment to responsible management and restoring the company’s value. Following this purchase, the combined stake held by major shareholders, including related parties, stands at 21.3%. The company explained that the on-market purchase was made based on the assessment that, despite its proprietary RNA editing technology and clinical development achievements, the stock price had become excessively undervalued relative to the company’s intrinsic value due to recent market conditions. Rznomics Inc. is accelerating clinical development and commercialization of its core pipeline, the anti-cancer gene therapy “RZ-001 (Taspitimagene advec),” following its designation as a Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the assignment of a dedicated project manager (PM). In addition, at the “2026 BIO International Convention” held last month in San Diego, the company discussed technology transfer and joint development partnerships with numerous global firms, and recently secured U.S. patent grants for its Alzheimer’s disease treatment “RZ-003” and next-generation anti-cancer platform “RZ-002.” CEO Lee Seong-wook stated, “As the CEO on the front lines of management, I feel a sense of responsibility toward shareholders who are concerned about the prolonged decline in our stock price, and I decided to purchase shares on the open market based on my confidence in the company’s growth potential.” He added, “To demonstrate our commitment to recovering the stock price through action, I proceeded with the initial purchase using my personal funds.” He continued, “Even after this initial on-market purchase, I plan to continue demonstrating responsible leadership by considering additional purchases,” and added, “We will spare no effort to restore the company’s value through R&D achievements and rigorous management, without being swayed by short-term market volatility.”
