[E-Daily Reporter Byung-ho Jang ] On “What Do You Do When You’re Bored?”, Lee Seon-min suffered an unexpected blow to her popularity in her hometown of Gumi. However, with the support of her family—who look just like her—she took center stage on the show.

The episode of MBC’s variety show “What Do You Do When You’re Bored?” that aired on the 11th was titled “The War of Money in Gumi.” Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Heo Kyung-hwan, Joo Woo-jae, Yang Sang-guk, and Lee Sun-min visited Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province—Lee Sun-min’s hometown—and toured various locations.

The episode recorded a viewership rating of 4.5% in the Seoul metropolitan area based on Nielsen Korea’s household ratings, ranking first among Saturday variety shows in the same time slot. It also topped the 2054 demographic with a rating of 2.7%. The peak viewership rating per minute reached 5.8%, and the scene where Lee Sun-min met her parents at her family home was named the “Best Minute” of the episode.

Upon arriving in her hometown, Lee Sun-min expressed confidence, saying, “I’ve already conquered about half of this place.” However, the citizens flocked to Yoo Jae-suk rather than Lee Sun-min, and even after she introduced herself by name, they responded with “Who are you?”—a reaction that drew laughter.

Lee Sun-min set out to restore her pride at Geumo Mountain. The members attempted a coin-tossing challenge at a famous wishing spot, and Yoo Jae-suk succeeded, praying for the happiness and prosperity of all Gumi citizens. In contrast, HaHa, who had prayed for a rise in viewership ratings, failed repeatedly. Yoo Jae-suk even managed to land a coin tossed casually from a distance, drawing admiration from the members.

Next, Lee Sun-min led the members up the mountain, promising to show them Geumo Mountain’s waterfall and caves. When complaints poured in about the hike being tougher than expected and the attractions being smaller than anticipated, Lee Sun-min took the group to her parents’ home to lighten the mood.

Faced with this unexpected visit, the members decided to set aside some spending money for Lee Seon-min’s parents. During this process, Joo Woo-jae confessed that the only cash he had was a 1 million won check. Yoo Jae-suk suggested that they hand over the check first and then pool their money to reimburse Joo Woo-jae later; Joo Woo-jae readily contributed the large sum but appeared worried he might not get it back.

The striking resemblance among Lee Seon-min’s family members also caught the audience’s attention. Lee Seon-min surprised the members by looking exactly like her father and three older sisters. In particular, she explained that she inherited her green eyes—the same color as hers—from her father.

Old photos of Lee Seon-min, who had looked mature even during his school days, were also revealed. While Lee Seon-min’s mother praised Heo Gyeong-hwan’s youthful appearance, she looked flustered when asked about her son’s looks. When asked to rank their appearances, she replied, “About second-to-last,” naturally singling out Yang Sang-guk as the bottom of the list and sending the studio into fits of laughter.

Later, as the members headed to their final dining spot, Lee Seon-min’s three older sisters made a surprise appearance. The members couldn’t hide their surprise at how much the sisters resembled Lee Seon-min—even more so than in photos—exclaiming, “We thought Seon-min was walking toward us.”

The preview at the end of the episode featured a new round of “The War of Money” with Lee Seon-min’s sisters joining in, as well as the members heading into the mountains. “What Do You Do When You’re Bored?” airs every Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
