In the fourth episode of tvN’s variety show “Street Restaurant Fighter,” airing on the 12th, the 18 teams that survived the second commercial district—the “Street Beer Festival”—will compete in a business showdown.

This mission is a “one-on-one same-price death match,” where two teams sell menu items at the same price to determine the winner. The nine teams that lose their head-to-head matches will be forced to close shop immediately on the spot. Contestants must prove their culinary skills, cooking speed, and sales strategies while handling the flood of customers.

In previous episodes, there were some upsets as participants—including a Chinese cuisine master and those who had previously recorded high sales—were eliminated one after another. Ko Seok-hyun’s “Agungi,” which had ranked last during the lunch service, survived by changing its menu and adopting a strategy of grilling meat over an open flame, recording sales of 1.17 million won.

In contrast, Yoo Bang-nyeong’s “Seonrin” and Yang Ji-sam’s “Arirang House” closed down after struggling with low sales due to high ingredient costs and a failure to analyze the commercial district.

In the second round, the contestants will face off in a showdown where their pride is on the line. Edward Kwon’s “Ma Sikdang” and Im Ki-hak’s “Bola Bola” will clash in the “French Derby.” While Edward Kwon welcomed the matchup, saying, “This should be fun,” Im Ki-hak taunted him, saying, “Looks like I’ll win easily. One of us is going home.”

Kim Mi-ryeong’s “Gotgan” and Jo Seo-hyung’s “The Star Is in My Heart” will go head-to-head with Korean cuisine. Kim Mi-ryeong ramped up the tension by asking, “Do I look easy to beat?” while Jo Seo-hyung expressed confidence, saying, “I just have a feeling. I’m not going home.”

A “Yongsan Derby” was also previewed, pitting Kim Hoon’s “Hoon-guri” against Kim Hee-eun’s “The Unusual Couple.” Kim Hoon threw down the gauntlet, saying, “I nominated them because I want to earn a Michelin star,” while Kim Hee-eun and her husband countered, “Stars aren’t that easy to earn.”

However, once the actual business began, the teams experienced mixed fortunes. Contrary to expectations, when customers failed to show up, some participants became flustered, asking, “Why aren’t we selling anything?” and “Why is everyone going over there?” Others showed signs of mental strain, saying, “I’m so frustrated I don’t want to do this anymore,” and “Honestly, I can’t do this.”

The nine teams that will survive the challenge of serving 2,000 customers will be revealed in today’s episode.

Episode 4 of “Street Restaurant Fighter” airs on the 12th at 7:35 p.m. On TVING, viewers can watch unreleased footage not featured in the broadcast, as well as content introducing the participating teams.
