According to G.I.Tech Co.,Ltd. on the 27th, the company has signed a supply contract worth approximately 3.15 billion won to install a defect inspection system in a client’s automotive glass production process. The project also includes upgrading existing inspection line equipment and constructing a new inspection line. The company explained that the defect inspection system being introduced will utilize automated inspection via high-resolution vision solutions to identify defects early in the manufacturing process, thereby helping to proactively reduce the number of defective products moving on to subsequent stages. This contract is significant because it marks G.I.Tech Co.,Ltd.’s full-scale entry into the automotive parts inspection sector—a new market—based on its proven vision inspection technology in the fields of rechargeable batteries, semiconductors, and displays. As the automotive industry rapidly advances toward electrification and electronic integration, demand for high-precision quality inspection is steadily increasing across all core components, including glass, displays, sensors, and batteries. Based on the track record established through this project, G.I.Tech Co.,Ltd. plans to actively pursue follow-on orders and expand its business beyond automotive glass into various other component inspection areas.
