[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] The monthly user base for “U+one,” the integrated app by LG Uplus(032640), has approached 6.1 million. According to 2026 statistics from the Ministry of Science and ICT, LG Uplus has approximately 11.21 million mobile subscribers, meaning more than half of them have signed up for the app within just one year of its launch.

This is the result of expanding the app’s functionality beyond simply checking communication bills and data usage and accessing membership benefits to include features that allow users to converse with artificial intelligence (AI) to identify the causes of billing fluctuations or sign up for roaming plans.

According to LG Uplus, U+one’s monthly active users (MAU) reached a record high of 6,096,384 in August. This represents a 20.2% increase from the approximately 5.08 million users recorded in October of last year, before the integration of the existing customer service app “Your U+” and the membership app.

U+one is an app that combines the customer service and membership functions, which were previously operated separately. Users can check this month’s bill, remaining data, and phone installment payments in the “MY” menu, and access membership barcodes and coupons in the “Benefits” menu. They can also browse rate plans and communication services within the app.

A standout feature is AI search. Even if users don’t know the exact menu name, asking a question like, “Why is my bill higher than last month?” allows the app to identify the reason for the change based on the billing amount and discount details. Recently, the app has begun recommending roaming plans based on users’ communication usage data and travel schedules, and it even supports the sign-up process after customer verification. Users can also check and pay their bills within the conversation flow.

To provide more reasons to use the app beyond telecom services, it also offers content and benefits. The “Plus” menu features lifestyle content—such as culture, travel, and food—as well as telecom-related information. According to LG Uplus, the number of monthly active users of Plus has more than doubled since its launch. Plus users access U+one twice as often as non-Plus users and spend 5.3 times longer in the app.

LG Uplus announced that it has ranked first for three consecutive years in the mobile communications category of the “2026 Digital Customer Experience Index (DCXI),” organized by the Korean Standards Association.
