HYUNDAILIVART(079430), a total interior design company affiliated with HYUNDAIDEPARTMENTSTORECO.,LTD, announced on the 27th that its “FITTER Series” office furniture won the Director General of the Korea Agency for Technology and Standards Award (Bronze) in the Ergonomic Design category at the “2026 Good Design Awards.” Following last year’s Prime Minister’s Award (Gold) for its “Emotion Series” motion desks, HYUNDAILIVART has now won a main prize at the Good Design Awards for two consecutive years. Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, the Good Design Awards is Korea’s premier industrial design awards ceremony, which has been conferring the “GD (Good Design)” mark on outstanding design products and services annually since 1985.

The award-winning “Fitter Series” was highly praised for its user-centric ergonomic design. To reduce strain on the wrists, the power strip and outlet unit were designed with a forward tilt, and the cable management cover is attached to the leg, allowing users to easily organize cables without having to bend over deeply. A HYUNDAILIVART spokesperson stated, “Typically, power outlets and wiring are located underneath office desks, making them inconvenient to use,” adding, “The Pitter Series was developed not only to resolve these inconveniences but also to reduce physical strain during long work hours by incorporating a wrist-protecting tabletop made of our proprietary urethane material.”

In addition, HYUNDAILIVART’s “Groove Series,” a line of modular furniture for office lounges, was also selected as a Good Design (GD) award winner. The Groove Series consists of modular sofas and shelving units designed for office lobbies and lounges. It features a unique design where cylinders appear to curve in a C- or S-shape, while the height and thickness of the cylinders are tailored to provide optimal comfort for users. Kang Min-soo, Executive Vice President and Head of the Business Solutions Division at HYUNDAILIVART, said, “This award is significant because it marks the second consecutive year that the functionality and design competitiveness of our office furniture have been recognized.” He added, “We will continue to introduce user-friendly products featuring distinctive designs to further strengthen our competitiveness in the office furniture market.”
