PIM KOREA Co.,Ltd. announced on the 13th via a regulatory filing that it has decided to issue its third series of bearer, unsecured, private placement convertible bonds (CBs). The issuance amount is 40 billion won, with both the coupon rate and maturity rate set at 0%. The conversion price was set at 54,431 won per share. The company explained that numerous institutional investors participated in this investment after highly evaluating its growth potential. All proceeds will be invested in expanding new business ventures. PIM KOREA Co.,Ltd. plans to secure Micro MIM manufacturing equipment, molds for gear reducers, and gear reducer design software to prepare for the mass production of gear reducers for global humanoid robot companies. Additionally, the company will invest in facilities for the mass production of titanium powder for robots. Gearboxes are core components of robot joint drive systems, and demand is expected to grow rapidly in line with the expansion of the physical AI and humanoid robot markets. The AI data center and IT business segments will expand with a focus on the production hub in Vietnam. Since its IPO, PIM KOREA Co.,Ltd. has been expanding its Vietnam plant to increase supply to global IT companies, and recently succeeded in securing an order for products used in Google’s AI data center cooling solutions through a U.S. company. The company expects to achieve simultaneous growth in both revenue and profitability by expanding its scope of application to the AI data center sector in addition to its existing IT business. A company official stated, “We will strengthen our technological competitiveness and continue to grow our performance through sustained R&D, while responding to high-growth industries such as humanoid robots and AI data centers,” adding, “As projects related to physical AI and data centers are gaining momentum domestically as well, we will expand our achievements based on our overseas track record.”
