[E-Daily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] Analysts in the securities industry are reporting that KOSDAQ-listed company Daesung Fine Tech. Co., Ltd(104040), whose stock price had been weak due to recent large-scale selling by institutional investors, has largely resolved its “overhang” (potential selling pressure) issue.

Previously, on the 10th, venture capital firm Forest Ventures announced that it had reduced its stake in DSM Corporation by disposing of its holdings through both on-market and off-market transactions. The disposal amounted to approximately 4.47%.
Previously, market analysts had suggested that these shares, when released onto the open market, had been a major supply-and-demand factor contributing to the recent weakness in the stock price. However, as this disclosure confirms that a significant portion of the shares was absorbed in the over-the-counter market, the overhang burden is now considered to have eased.
Of particular note is that these shares were acquired by the largest shareholder and friendly investors. According to a previous disclosure, the largest shareholder’s voting rights stake increased from 31.34% to 33.26%. This is interpreted as a move to strengthen control over management through on- and off-market purchases and the addition of related parties.
Industry observers note that since this sale was a routine recovery process following a fund’s maturity, the fact that the largest shareholder absorbed the remaining shares has helped alleviate supply-and-demand pressures.
A financial investment industry official explained, “Now that the overhang issue has eased, market attention is likely to shift toward corporate value and the performance of new businesses,” adding, “Key investment factors include the opening of ‘9.81 Park Incheon Airport’ and whether the theme park platform will expand.”
Since merging with Monolith last year, DSM Corporation has restructured its business to focus on mobility and AI-based theme park operations. Jeju’s “9.81 Park” has surpassed 2.5 million cumulative visitors, and “9.81 Park Incheon Airport,” currently under construction near Incheon International Airport, is set to open next spring.
The official added, “Now that the overhang issue has been resolved, the market should focus on the value and growth potential of DSM Corporation’s new businesses rather than supply and demand.”
