“Youth preparing for independence” refers to young people who must leave child welfare facilities after turning 18 and become self-reliant. KOLMAR KOREA held the ceremony to present the donation and support these young people as they take their first steps toward independence. The ceremony was attended by Choi Hyun-kyu, CEO of KOLMAR KOREA; Ko Daehyun, CEO of Soif Studio; and Ha Jeong-eun, Chairwoman of the Band Foundation.
Over the past five years, KOLMAR KOREA has provided scholarships to 54 young people preparing for independence. For those interested in the cosmetics industry, the company supported their enrollment in Soif Studio’s Design Academy. After gaining practical experience, these young people even collaborated with KOLMAR KOREA to develop the “Hydra Sun Serum.” A scholarship was awarded to the young designer responsible for the final design.
A KOLMAR KOREA official stated, “We decided to continue our sponsorship this year to help young people taking their first steps into society settle into their lives with stability,” adding, “We will continue to expand our support for young people preparing for independence through various means.”
