NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES announced on the 14th that it held a “Target-Switching Wrap Account Client Seminar” at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 9th. Held under the theme “A Chaotic Stock Market: Opportunity or Crisis?”, the event was attended by approximately 160 clients. (Photo: NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES)
The first presentation was delivered by Kim Young-min, CEO of Torus Asset Management, who manages NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES’ domestic target-switching wrap accounts. Under the theme “Companies with Strong, Sustainable Earnings: Recent Stock Market Trends and Future Investment Strategies,” CEO Kim analyzed the domestic stock market and the semiconductor sector. Kim assessed that while semiconductor stocks are currently undergoing a short-term correction, investment opportunities in the semiconductor supercycle remain valid. He predicted that even if foreign capital inflows are limited, a “money move”—where funds shift from bank deposits to the stock market, driven primarily by expanded share buybacks by semiconductor companies and retirement pension funds—could support further gains in the domestic stock market. In the second lecture, Lee Jae-hoon, Head of Smilegate’s Overseas Target-Switching Wrap Division, introduced global investment strategies for the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Lee noted that technological revolutions proceed through four stages—technology adoption, infrastructure development, revenue generation, and industry-wide diffusion—and assessed that the AI industry is currently in the infrastructure development stage. Accordingly, he predicted that companies supplying AI infrastructure—such as semiconductors, networks, power and cooling systems, and cloud services—would be the primary beneficiaries. He assessed the AI industry as being in a phase of structural growth rather than a short-term economic cycle, and emphasized the need to maintain a sustained focus on core facilities and technologies within the AI ecosystem, such as semiconductors, power infrastructure, and space-based networks. Jeon Dong-hyun, Head of the Product Solutions Division at NH INVESTMENT & SECURITIES, said, “As market volatility increases, clients’ concerns and interest regarding investment strategies are also growing,” adding, “We will continue to provide seminars and investment content that enable us to understand the market and seek long-term investment opportunities in collaboration with domestic and international asset managers.”
