[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] JTBC’s flagship variety show “Knowing Bros” is once again taking a break from the airwaves. While JTBC explained that the hiatus is due to the scheduling of World Cup highlights, viewers’ concerns are mounting as the show’s repeated cancellations coincide with recent controversies over the network’s financial difficulties.

In an official statement released on the 17th, JTBC announced, “The episode of ‘Knowing Bros’ scheduled to air on the 18th will be preempted due to the broadcast of the ‘2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup,’” adding, “Episode 537 will air on the 25th at 9:00 p.m.”
The “2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup: Argentina Highlights” will air during that time slot.
This is not the first time the show has been preempted. “Knowing Bros” was also preempted on the 4th due to the broadcast of “2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup Goal Compilation.”
Some viewers have expressed disappointment over the consecutive cancellations. In particular, when the show was last canceled, there were concerns that JTBC was scaling back its variety programming in light of changes in its business environment. However, JTBC explained that this cancellation is also due to the special World Cup programming.
