In the video, he said, “Three years ago, I sold an apartment near Gangnam-gu Office Station. I had lived there for about eight years, but I moved into my current home on a jeonse lease because I wanted a ‘Han River view.’” He added, “But after just three years, I found out that apartment’s value had risen by over 500 million won. I’m really shocked and angry.” Heo Kyung-hwan also expressed regret at having missed an investment opportunity in the Hannam-dong redevelopment project. “I thought it would take a long time for the redevelopment to happen,” he said. “But one day, I saw they were already tearing down the housing complex. I was completely overwhelmed.” Heo Kyung-hwan lamented, “I was interested in real estate investment, but I didn’t want to worry about it for a while, so I chose a jeonse lease with the mindset of ‘let’s take some time to think.’ But while I was thinking, so many things happened, and I couldn’t keep up.” He reiterated, “I’m a non-homeowner living in a jeonse rental,” adding, “There’s a rumor that I have a lot of money, but that’s not my money—it’s the company’s money. I want to make it clear that I’m still not in a position to buy a house right now.”
