[Edaily Reporter KIM JI-WAN ] VC Inc.(365900)announced on the 20th that it is accelerating its full-scale push into major global golf markets, such as the U.S. and Japan, based on its unrivaled ultra-precise real-time Auto Pin Location (APL) technology, which has dominated the domestic market.

The key driver behind VC Inc.’s growth is undoubtedly its proprietary APL technology. APL is a high-precision distance measurement solution that uses GPS devices to determine the exact, real-time location of the pin on the green and relay that information to golfers.
As of the first half of this year, VC Inc. exclusively supplies and operates its APL solution at 329 golf courses in Korea. In particular, it has achieved a 100% adoption rate among newly opened golf courses, solidifying its unrivaled dominance in the market. Building on this strong market position, VC Inc.’s domestic golf watch sales recorded significant growth, increasing by 27% compared to the same period last year.
Amid concerns about stagnation in the domestic golf industry, the company has demonstrated its performance and growth potential through robust growth by providing differentiated, high-value-added services.
Tangible results in the Japanese market are also on the horizon. VC Inc. is currently in negotiations with the leading local company—which supplies control systems to over 1,200 of Japan’s 2,200 golf courses—to integrate key data.
If this contract is finalized, VC Inc. will receive real-time GPS data on pin positions on the greens at Japanese golf courses, which is meticulously collected by that company. Currently, the two companies are engaged in positive working-level discussions to ensure successful data integration and system enhancement, and are accelerating preparations with the goal of officially launching the service this September.
In time for the service launch in September, VC Inc. plans to conduct a large-scale marketing campaign—effectively equivalent to a new product launch—utilizing its new service, “Play Together.” The company has set a bold goal of more than doubling (200%) its golf watch sales in Japan compared to current levels by combining the highly reliable pin data from the leading local company with its differentiated smart services.
Having completed validation in South Korea, VC Inc.’s APL technology is now heading to the U.S., the world’s largest market. VC Inc. is currently conducting a proof of concept (PoC) at major golf courses near Los Angeles (LA). Using this as a springboard, the company plans to pursue partnerships with major local golf course management companies and enter the full-scale B2B (business-to-business) market.
The U.S. golf market is a massive market with approximately 16,000 golf courses, roughly 30 times the size of the domestic market. In particular, the local U.S. B2B market has an average solution adoption cost that is more than three times higher than in Korea; therefore, if the company successfully establishes itself there, it is expected to see not only revenue growth but also a dramatic improvement in operating profit margins.
The securities industry is also viewing VC Inc.’s global expansion positively. This is because the company is expected to expand its overseas ODM orders (securing forecast volumes for 2026 and 2027) based on the technological expertise it has accumulated in the fields of golf rangefinders and personal launch monitors, in addition to strong performance in the U.S. and Japanese markets.
An industry insider stated, “VC Inc. has already secured a firm market dominance in the domestic market with its irreplaceable technological capabilities. We anticipate that starting this year, more than half of VC Inc.’s total revenue will come from global exports.” The insider added, “By expanding into the U.S. and Japanese markets based on its unrivaled technological capabilities, the company will completely eliminate the valuation discount caused by the slowdown in the domestic golf industry and achieve a full-fledged earnings turnaround.”
