This proposal involves transferring a portion of the capital reserve to retained earnings within the limits permitted by the Commercial Act. The move is intended to secure funds for future shareholder return policies, such as the acquisition of treasury stock and dividends. Since this procedure involves only a reclassification of accounts within the capital section without changing total capital, it will not affect the company’s financial soundness.
Next Entertainment World Co., Ltd.’s policy is to continuously strengthen content investment and business competitiveness while simultaneously implementing shareholder return policies over the medium to long term to enhance corporate value.
A Next Entertainment World Co., Ltd. official stated, “The reduction of the capital reserve is a procedure to lay the groundwork for implementing shareholder return policies,” adding, “We will continue to review various measures to enhance shareholder value alongside strengthening our business competitiveness.”
This proposal is scheduled to be finalized at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on August 27.
