According to A2O Entertainment on the 20th, the title track of the same name from A2O MAY’s new single “Love Got Me Ooh,” released in China on the 16th (local time), reached No. 1 on QQ Music’s New Songs Chart as of 8 a.m. on the 18th.
A2O May is a Chinese girl group under A2O Entertainment, led by producer Lee Soo-man, known as the “pioneer of K-pop.” As the group was formed based on the production know-how and global systems that K-pop has accumulated over the years, its rise to the top of QQ Music—China’s leading music streaming platform—is seen as proof that K-pop’s production capabilities can succeed in overseas markets as well.
The title track, “Love Got Me Woo,” combines the retro vibe of New Jack Swing with modern pop production. It reinterprets the distinctive atmosphere of the 1990s with a sophisticated sound, while the members’ distinctive vocals and performances vividly convey the excitement of falling in love. Coupled with a stylish music video, the release is receiving praise for further highlighting A2O MAY’s unique musical identity.
A2O MAY has recently been expanding its presence as the next-generation global girl group by winning a string of Best New Artist awards at events such as the “2025–2026 Music Business Industry Awards” (MBIA), the “Weibo Music Awards 2025,” the “2025 Asian Hall of Fame,” and Weibo’s “Night of Competition.” They are also scheduled to attend the “2026 Tencent Music Entertainment Awards” (2026 TMEA), which will be held in Macau on August 16.
