[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] LG CNS (#LGCNES) is launching a program to train practical AI talent for those seeking careers in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
LG Corp. announced on the 21st that it has been selected as an operating agency for the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s “K-Digital Training (KDT) AI Campus” and will run a specialized AI training program for six months starting on the 28th.
The KDT AI Campus is an industry-linked talent development initiative in which the government is investing a total of 130 billion won with the goal of training 10,000 AI engineers. Candidates seeking employment in the AI field will be selected, and tuition will be fully covered. Applications can be submitted via Employment24 and the LG Corp. AI Campus website.
LG Corp. will sequentially offer the ▲ “Agentic AI Service Developer Course” based on MCP (Model Context Protocol) and the ▲ “AI Data Engineer Course” based on Knowledge Graphs.
MCP is an open communication protocol that enables AI to connect to internal systems or external services via a standardized method, allowing it to exchange data and perform various tasks. It is gaining attention as a core technology that enables AI agents to integrate with corporate databases and business systems to automatically handle real-world tasks.
The training is not theory-based but focuses on project-based hands-on practice. Trainees will develop practical skills by directly applying AI technologies used in real-world corporate environments. LG Corp. AI experts will participate as mentors to share their practical know-how and problem-solving methods.
The Agent AI Service Developer course trains participants in the development of enterprise Agent AI agents using MCP, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Large Language Models (LLMs). In the AI Data Engineer course, participants learn how to build and integrate corporate data using knowledge graph technology so that AI can utilize it efficiently.
Along with cultivating future talent through the AI Campus, LG CNS is also expanding its AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) training business for enterprises. The company provides customized AX training to companies and institutions—including LG Corp., NICE Information Service, and the Korea Federation of SMEs—and, in partnership with the global education platform Udemy, offers access to over 35,000 educational courses.
Lee Ho-gun, Senior Vice President in charge of the Public, Telecommunications, and Education AX Business at LG Corp., stated, “Through the AI Campus, we will contribute to the development of hands-on AX talent who can be immediately deployed in industrial settings,” adding, “Based on the AX technology and know-how we have accumulated across various industries, we will continue to expand our enterprise-tailored AI training business.”
