[Edaily Reporter Hong Ju-yeon ] Dong-A ChamMed, a subsidiary of Donga ST ( Donga ST(170900)), has unveiled a new domestically produced product to target the endoscopy market, which is currently dominated by foreign manufacturers. On the 21st, Donga ST launched the next-generation endoscopy imaging system “V1 Smart PRO” and the dedicated flexible video endoscope “FHD-F7.”

The V1 Smart PRO is an endoscopic imaging system that allows both rigid endoscopes and flexible video endoscopes to be used on a single platform. It features an ergonomic, bilaterally symmetrical handle design to enhance user convenience. Additionally, it employs a dual-fiber-optic illumination structure to ensure a bright and uniform field of view during endoscopy. By incorporating DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology to reduce image noise and a structure that effectively dissipates heat, it maintains stable image quality even during prolonged procedures.

The FHD-F7, a flexible video endoscope designed exclusively for the V1 Smart PRO, was also developed to be compatible with the same platform, allowing medical professionals to perform various endoscopic examinations more efficiently using a single system. The FHD-F7 is a flexible video endoscope inserted through the nasal cavity to examine and diagnose the larynx and upper respiratory tract. It utilizes a fiber-optic light transmission system to ensure sufficient light intensity and deliver crisp, clear images.

The tip and the steering section are designed to be slim, with diameters of 3.6 mm and 3.4 mm, respectively, and feature a structure that allows for free movement up to 120 degrees in both the vertical and horizontal planes. This design reduces patient discomfort during nasal passage and allows medical staff to examine the desired areas more conveniently. Additionally, an ergonomic design minimizes fatigue even during prolonged use, and the product’s quality has been enhanced by incorporating Dong-A ChamMed’s design identity.

A Dong-A ChamMed official stated, “Although the domestic flexible endoscope market is highly dependent on overseas brands, we expect the V1 Smart PRO and FHD-F7 to set a new standard for domestically produced endoscopes based on their superior image quality and price competitiveness.” The official added, “We will continue to introduce innovative endoscopic solutions that reflect the needs of the medical field through ongoing research and development, and further strengthen our competitiveness not only in the domestic market but also in the global market.”
