[Edaily Reporter KIM SAE-MI ] Bio Plus Co., Ltd(099430)is set to open an experiential beauty space next month where consumers can measure their own skin condition and create customized cosmetics, thereby expanding its consumer reach.
Bio Plus Co., Ltd announced on the 21st that it plans to operate an experiential space next month utilizing “HUGRO,” its proprietary growth factor-based bio-ingredient platform.
At this space, consumers can measure skin data—such as hydration and elasticity—and then select HUGRO ingredients based on the results to personally formulate and manufacture their own cosmetics. A key feature of the space is that it is designed to allow consumers to experience the entire process—from skin measurement to ingredient selection, formulation, and manufacturing—rather than simply purchasing a finished product.
According to the company, the role of offline spaces in the cosmetics industry is evolving as the number of high-performance products incorporating bio-ingredients—such as growth factors, polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), exosomes, and recombinant collagen—has been increasing. There is a growing trend toward creating spaces that go beyond simple sales to combine skin diagnostics, consultations, and product experiences, thereby directly conveying the brand’s technological capabilities and unique value to consumers.
Through this experiential space, Bio Plus Co., Ltd plans to allow consumers to directly experience its proprietary bio-ingredient technology and strengthen its personalized cosmetics services. The goal is to evolve the space into a personalized platform that links skin data with bio-ingredient technology.
A representative of Bio Plus Co., Ltd stated, “Offline spaces are emerging as touchpoints that break down complex biotechnology and convey it in a language consumers can understand,” adding, “The competitiveness of K-Beauty companies is expected to hinge on how well they provide differentiated experiences to consumers.”
