HYBE Signs MOU with the Korea Fashion Association to Collaborate on K-Pop-Based Fashion Industry
Plans to Produce K-Fashion Products Using Artist IP, Among Other Initiatives

[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] HYBE announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Fashion Association to foster collaboration between the entertainment and fashion industries. Building on this agreement, both parties plan to establish a production system for K-fashion products by leveraging artists’ intellectual property (IP) in collaboration with leading domestic manufacturing companies. Through this initiative, they aim to identify new business opportunities and strengthen the link between the content and manufacturing industries to enhance the competitiveness of the sector as a whole. Yoo Dong-ju, Head of APAC at HYBE Music Group, stated, “K-pop is now transcending music to connect with various industries and create new value,” adding, “Together with the Korea Fashion Association, we will expand our collaboration with leading domestic manufacturers and create new possibilities for the fashion business based on K-pop IP.” Seong Rae-eun, President of the Korea Fashion Association, remarked, “While K-pop has introduced Korean culture and identity to the world, fashion is the industry that allows people to experience and consume it in their daily lives.” She continued, “This agreement serves as a meaningful example of the entertainment and fashion industries collaborating organically beyond their respective domains, and it will serve as a practical catalyst for strengthening the global competitiveness of K-fashion and revitalizing the domestic manufacturing base.” Meanwhile, HYBE owns numerous labels, including Big Hit Music—home to BTS, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), and Cortis—as well as Belief Lab, SOURCE MUSIC, Pledis Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, ADOR, and ABD.
