[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] SamsungElectronics(005930)is expanding its collaborations with the gaming industry and leveraging intellectual property (IP) to coincide with the launch of its new Galaxy foldable smartphones. While highlighting performance optimized for games and content thanks to the larger display, the company has also introduced exclusive themes and AI character voices for the new products, driving gaming fans to make purchases.

Nexon recently collaborated with SamsungElectronics to unveil a Galaxy Special Theme for the mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) “#MapleStory M.” Inspired by the in-game character “Sia Astel,” this special theme bundles wallpapers, icons, and ringtones into a single package.

In conjunction with this, Nexon is hosting an event at the “Maple Hideout” in Gangnam through August 3, where visitors can try out the game and download the special theme.

During the same period, dedicated corners where visitors can experience the theme firsthand will be set up at five major Samsung Stores nationwide; visitors can download the special theme for free by tapping their Galaxy smartphones on the NFC terminals provided at each store.

Netmarble Corporation(251270)Nexon has also unveiled Galaxy special themes based on two of its games, “Seven Knights Reverse” and “MonGil: STAR DIVE.” Visitors can download the special themes for free by tagging their Galaxy smartphones to the NFC terminals available at Samsung Stores until August 3.

The latest Galaxy foldable phones highlight their usability for gaming and video viewing thanks to their significantly larger screens. In particular, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra supports “Neural Frame Fusion,” an AI-based graphics optimization technology, which ensures stable performance even in high-spec games.

At the Galaxy Unpacked event, SamsungElectronics highlighted the gaming experience on foldable devices by showcasing #NCSoft’s new MMORPG, “Aion 2,” as a demo example.

Product Manager Kadesh Beckford, who took the stage at the Unpacked event on the 22nd (local time), said, “While you’re gaming, ‘Neural Frame Fusion’ uses AI to reconstruct pixels and frames in real time, enhancing game performance and delivering sharper, smoother gameplay.”

Collaborations with global game developers also stood out. Kuro Games’ “Mingzhu: Wandering Wave” featured the popular character “Ames” in a special theme alongside SamsungElectronics’ interactive Agent AI “Bixby.” Users can hear Ames’ voice on Galaxy devices and apply a theme that tells the character’s story.

Users can enter the giveaway for “Bixby Aimes Voice,” which features the character’s voice, by accessing the event page on the Galaxy Store via a new Galaxy device; 1,000 winners will be selected via a random drawing. Bixby Aimes Voice is scheduled for official release in October or later, following system optimization.

HoYoverse Korea is also introducing two special themes based on the popular games “Genshin Impact” and “Honkai: Star Rail.” HoYoverse will distribute 20,000-won discount coupons for the Galaxy Store to 300 customers per store at five Samsung Store locations nationwide. Experience events will also be held at the “Genshin Impact Café in Seoul” and the “Genshin Impact PC Lounge.”
