[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Dinotisia has partnered with STXEngineCo.,Ltd(077970)to pursue a project to build a defense AI data center in Changwon. The plan is to support digital transformation in the defense sector by combining defense-specific AI infrastructure with a stable power supply system.

Dinotisia announced on the 29th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with STXEngineCo.,Ltd to successfully carry out the Changwon defense industry AI data center construction project.

This agreement was established to expand the use of AI in the defense industry and strengthen data-driven national defense capabilities. The two companies will invest in the AI data center project and establish a framework for cooperation on power infrastructure and defense AI technology.

Dinotisia will be responsible for the planning, development, and establishment of the operational framework for the AI data center construction project. STXEngineCo.,Ltd will participate as a strategic investor in the project and collaborate on the supply of power infrastructure equipment, such as generators.

With the recent growth of the AI industry, the importance of data centers is increasing. In the defense sector as well, securing high-performance computing infrastructure for large-scale data processing and AI training is emerging as a key factor in competitiveness.

Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue strategic investment in the defense AI data center project, collaborate on the supply of power infrastructure equipment such as generators, cooperate on AI technologies and solutions for the defense sector, revitalize the regional industrial ecosystem, and strengthen South Korea’s competitiveness in defense AI.

Dnotisia will build AI infrastructure specialized for the defense sector based on its capabilities in AI data center development and operation. Through this, the company plans to create a data and computing environment that enables defense and military companies to utilize AI.

STXEngineCo.,Ltd will support the supply of power infrastructure equipment necessary for the stable operation of AI data centers, leveraging its expertise in power generation facilities and engine technology.

Dinotisia views this collaboration as a foundation for connecting the Changwon region’s defense manufacturing ecosystem with AI data centers. The vision is to foster a defense AI industry ecosystem centered on Changwon and contribute to the AI transformation of the domestic defense industry and the strengthening of its infrastructure competitiveness.

Jeong Mu-kyung, CEO of Dinotisia, stated, “STXEngineCo.,Ltd’s engine technology can be expanded into data center power infrastructure, while Dinotisia’s AI data and storage technology can be expanded into manufacturing AI infrastructure.” He added, “This collaboration will allow companies from different fields—engines and AI—to expand their respective technologies and business domains using the data center as a common ground.”

Lee Sang-soo, CEO of STXEngineCo.,Ltd, remarked, “This agreement marks the starting point for securing the core infrastructure needed to build a defense AI data center,” adding, “We will participate in the digital transformation of national defense and the establishment of an advanced defense industry ecosystem by building a stable power supply system and expanding the foundation for AI utilization.”

The two companies plan to form a working group to flesh out future business plans and develop a phased implementation strategy for the Changwon Defense AI Data Center construction project.
