[Edaily Reporter Kim Se-yeon ] #Kbank has introduced “Agentic AI,” an autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) system that supports the entire development process—from code generation to system analysis and internal information searches. This move is intended to boost development productivity and strengthen its AI-based development environment.

Kbank announced on the 3rd that it has introduced “Agentic AI,” an autonomous AI system designed to support development tasks.
Agentic AI is an AI technology that goes beyond generative AI—which simply answers questions—to independently analyze objectives and perform necessary tasks. It is characterized by its ability to autonomously design the steps required to achieve the user’s stated goals and utilize various tools to carry out the work.
The newly introduced Agentic AI supports the entire development process, including code writing, system analysis, and improvement suggestions. When a developer inputs the service features they wish to implement, it generates the necessary code and analyzes existing systems to propose improvement strategies.
Notably, since it operates within the company’s internal network, it can utilize not only code generation but also information linked to internal systems—such as contact details for relevant personnel, internal regulations, and development standards. Developers can proceed with development by verifying necessary information through the AI without having to separately search for relevant personnel or applicable regulations during the new feature development process.
Kbank confirmed the system’s feasibility in a real development environment through a two-month pilot program. During the pilot, 50 developers used 4 billion tokens, demonstrating high utilization. This volume of text processing is equivalent to a single developer reading and analyzing the equivalent of 10 books—each containing 300 pages—per day on average.
Going forward, Kbank plans to continuously expand the scope of use within its internal systems to evolve Agentic AI into an integrated AI platform that supports all aspects of development and collaboration. Additionally, the company intends to enhance Agentic AI’s performance based on a graphics processing unit (GPU) platform, which it aims to establish by the end of the year.
A Kbank official stated, “Agentic AI is an AI development partner that reduces the burden of repetitive code writing and data searching, enabling developers to focus on service design and problem-solving,” adding, “We will continue to actively internalize AI technology to boost development productivity and strengthen our technological competitiveness.”
