BukwangPharmaceutical plans to strengthen its marketing efforts by maintaining the existing pharmacy supply price for Tasenol. Tasenol is an over-the-counter analgesic and antipyretic containing only acetaminophen, used to relieve various types of pain, including fever, headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, and muscle aches.

Amid recent price hikes for some over-the-counter medications, the company has adopted a policy of maintaining its existing supply price to reduce the burden on pharmacies and consumers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when demand for acetaminophen surged, BukwangPharmaceutical ensured a stable supply of the product through its domestic production facilities.

The company also plans to strengthen marketing for “Tavex Gel,” a topical anti-inflammatory analgesic. Tavex Gel is the only over-the-counter medication in Korea containing a combination of “escin and salicylic acid diethylamine,” and is used to relieve pain and inflammation caused by bruises and sprains. Escin is an ingredient used to relieve swelling and inflammation, while salicylic acid diethylamine is an anti-inflammatory analgesic that is absorbed through the skin to relieve pain and inflammation. Its gel formulation makes it easy to apply even to flexural areas such as joints.

BukwangPharmaceutical plans to strengthen its sales partnership with SINSIN PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD. to expand sales of over-the-counter medications. The company intends to leverage SINSIN PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD.’s nationwide pharmacy distribution network and sales capabilities to enhance the market competitiveness of over-the-counter products such as Tassenol.

A BukwangPharmaceutical official stated, “Tasenol is a product with a stable supply system based on our domestic production capabilities,” adding, “We will continue to expand our consumer reach by leveraging our supply stability and quality competitiveness.”
