Coreline Soft Co., Ltd. Expands Its Medical AI Applications to Domestic Universities
Supply of AI-Based Medical Image Analysis Software to Hanseo University’s Department of Radiology
Expanding from European Specialized Training to Domestic Universities… The Medical AI Education Ecosystem Grows
Bridging the Gap from Education to Clinical Practice… Expectations for Strengthening the Foundation for Practical Medical AI Applications
[Edaily Reporter NA EUN-KYUNG ] Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Coreline Soft Co., Ltd.(384470)announced on the 3rd that it has expanded the scope of medical AI education to domestic universities by supplying “AVIEW Modeler,” its medical imaging 3D modeling and printing software, to the Department of Radiology at Hanseo University.
This supply represents a case of applying AI-based medical imaging analysis software—used in real clinical environments—to the curriculum. The goal is to enhance students’ capabilities in utilizing medical AI by enabling them to gain hands-on experience with software used in actual medical settings while still in school.
The decision to adopt the software was finalized following an initial demonstration and proposal, consultations with faculty members, and a review of its potential integration into the curriculum. Coreline Soft Co., Ltd. plans to support the establishment of a medical AI training environment, taking into account Hansung University’s unique structure, which centers on the Department of Radiology while also operating programs in aviation, AI, and healthcare.
As the medical AI market enters the commercialization phase, education and training are gaining attention as a new foundation for widespread adoption. There is a growing trend of cases that go beyond simply training medical staff after hospital implementation; instead, students and future healthcare professionals are now experiencing software identical to that used in clinical settings from the educational stage onward.
Coreline Soft Co., Ltd. is already participating in specialist training programs by supplying AI software for lung cancer screening education to the European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI). This program provides interpretation training aligned with national lung cancer screening guidelines, along with hands-on training using AI-based analysis tools.
Recently, as the adoption of national lung cancer screening programs expands across Europe, the importance of training interpretation personnel and establishing standardized educational systems is growing. Accordingly, AI is expanding its scope of application beyond simple diagnostic assistance to serve as an educational tool for learning consistent interpretation criteria and workflows.
In South Korea as well, the importance of training professionals to utilize medical AI is expected to grow in line with an aging population and the expansion of lung cancer screening. In particular, as complex image interpretation—such as the analysis of multiple comorbidities—increases, the demand for training based on real-world clinical environments is also expected to rise.
A representative of Coreline Soft Co., Ltd. stated, “For medical AI to be stably integrated into clinical practice, we must not only develop the technology but also train the professionals who will utilize it.” The representative added, “Building on the educational experience we have accumulated in Europe, we will expand the medical AI education ecosystem in Korea and continue to strengthen the foundation that connects clinical practice with education.”
