[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] KRAFTON(259960)will host “PUBG Global Series (PGS) Circuit 3,” a global esports tournament for “PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS,” on the 5th.

PGS Circuit 3 is the first global esports professional team tournament of the second half of the year. It is structured as a single circuit comprising three series, with results from each tournament cumulatively reflected in the circuit standings. After three weeks of competition, the winning team of Circuit 3 will be determined at PGS 9, the final series.

Previously, Circuit 2, held in the first half of the year, set a new all-time record with a combined peak concurrent viewership of over 880,000 across its three series. Total viewing hours also reached 7,106,564 hours, a 20% increase compared to the previous tournament. Building on the success of the previous tournament, the competition to qualify for the “PUBG Global Championship”—the year-end premier international professional team tournament—will intensify starting with this circuit. Since points earned at the recently held Esports World Cup (EWC) will also be factored into PGC qualification, the competition among global pro teams is expected to become even more intense.

Participating in this tournament are Twisted Minds, Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, Team Falcons, 17 Gaming, Four Angry Men, Petrichor Road, DN SOOPers, GenG Esports, and T1—all of which have proven their competitiveness through their respective regional leagues—will compete in this tournament. The competition will also feature teams that have fully adapted to the third-person perspective (TPP), newly introduced this year, and the new meta.

PGS 7 will take place from the 5th to the 9th. Participating teams will compete in a series of stages to determine the initial standings for Circuit 3. PGS 8 will follow from the 13th to the 16th of this month, with seeds assigned based on previous results, giving each team the opportunity to improve their ranking. PGS 9 will be held from the 20th to the 23rd of this month, with 16 teams competing for the championship in the finals based on their combined results from the previous two series.

This tournament will be held in Shanghai, China. A total of 24 teams will compete, consisting of 12 global partner teams and 12 teams that qualified through regional series. The total prize pool is $500,000.

PGS Circuit 3 kicks off with the group stage at 2:00 PM on the 5th, with all subsequent matches taking place at 7:00 PM. Matches will be broadcast on the official PUBG Esports YouTube channel, SOOP, and Chizichik, and can also be viewed via streams by popular global streamers.
