LOTTE WELLFOOD announced on the 4th that it had provided ZERO brand products to the “2026 Type 1 Diabetes Family Camp” and the “Hope Bag Project Phase 3,” organized by the Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association and the Korea Association for People with Pancreatic Disabilities.

This sponsorship is part of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between LOTTE WELLFOOD and the Patient Association last December. The two organizations are collaborating on educational and communication programs for people with Type 1 diabetes and their families, as well as activities to improve public awareness of the disease.

The Type 1 Diabetes Family Camp, held at Cheongpung Resort in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, from the 31st of last month to the 2nd of this month, was attended by approximately 140 people from about 40 families of patients across the country. The camp featured lectures by medical professionals, disease management education, and communication programs for patients and their families. LOTTE WELLFOOD provided camp participants with Zero Chocolate Chip Cookies, Kakao Cake, K&K Sandwiches, and Choco Pies.

The company is also participating in the “Hope Bag Project Phase 3,” a flagship initiative of the patients’ association. The Hope Bag Project is a program that helps patients newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and their families adapt to their new treatment environment by providing them with bags containing medical devices necessary for blood glucose management, educational materials, and daily necessities. LOTTE WELLFOOD plans to contribute Zero Lemon Mint Candies, Peach Mint Candies, and Fruit Jellies to the Hope Bags.

Since signing a memorandum of understanding with the patient association, LOTTE WELLFOOD has jointly organized patient education programs, family camps, and campaigns to raise awareness of the disease. The company plans to continue its social contribution activities aimed at spreading information about Type 1 diabetes and supporting patients in their daily lives.

A LOTTE WELLFOOD representative stated, “We hope the Zero brand will serve as a small source of encouragement for people with Type 1 diabetes and their families,” adding, “Through our collaboration with the association, we will continue our efforts to improve disease awareness and support patients.”
