Cherina is an AI virtual intellectual property (IP) currently under development based on technology from OneTouch AI, an AI-specialized subsidiary recently acquired by the company. LSK iRobot plans to fully expand its AI business based on the technology and operational experience gained through this project.
Through the acquisition of OneTouch AI, LSK iRobot has secured technological capabilities in the fields of generative AI and computer vision. OneTouch AI is an AI specialist company founded by Professor Choi Jong-won of Chung-Ang University, a former principal researcher at the Samsung SDS AI Research Center, and possesses visual intelligence and video AI technologies.
Cherina is a virtual IP created using AI-based visual intelligence and generative AI technologies. It is being developed with the goal of not only producing content but also implementing services that interact with users, and is scheduled to be unveiled later this month.
Through the Cherina project, LSK iRobot plans to validate the commercial potential of generative AI and visual intelligence technologies and enhance its AI technology competitiveness based on the operational experience and data accumulated during the content production process. Furthermore, starting with AI content, the company plans to expand its scope of application to industrial AI solutions such as manufacturing automation, logistics, and service robots.
An LSK iRobot official stated, “Cherina is our first project to expand AI technology into actual services,” adding, “Starting with the AI content business, we will broaden the scope of AI technology applications across various industries to secure new growth engines.”
