This was driven by revenue growth fueled by strong sales of infant formula, the expansion of non-dairy processed products, and the growth of its overseas operations.

Maeil Dairies Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that its consolidated revenue for the second quarter reached 480 billion won, a 4.8% increase compared to the same period last year. During the same period, operating profit rose 64.4% to 20.4 billion won, and net income increased 13.2% year-over-year to 16.3 billion won. The operating profit margin rose from 2.7% in the second quarter of last year to 4.3% in the second quarter of this year.

By business segment, both revenue and operating profit increased in the Dairy Processing, Nutrition, and Other segments. Revenue in the Dairy Processing segment rose 1.9% year-over-year to 249.7 billion won, while operating profit increased 34.3% to 6.4 billion won.

In the Nutrition segment, revenue rose 16.4% to 63.2 billion won, and operating profit surged from 200 million won in the same period last year to 2.7 billion won.

Revenue in the “Other” segment—which includes coffee, juice, and plant-based beverages—rose 5.3% to 167.1 billion won, while operating profit increased 52.7% to 11.3 billion won.

Maeil Dairies Co., Ltd.’s consolidated revenue for the first half of this year was 949.9 billion won, a 3.6% increase from 916.8 billion won in the same period last year. Operating profit rose 54.3% to 39.2 billion won, and net income increased 41.7% to 35.2 billion won.

Maeil Dairies Co., Ltd. official stated, “Revenue and operating profit increased year-over-year due to strong sales of infant formula driven by a rising birth rate, the expansion of our non-dairy processed product portfolio—including soy milk—and growth in our overseas business.”

Maeil Dairies Co., Ltd. plans to continue its domestic and international growth in the second half of the year, focusing on infant formula, nutrition products such as Selex, and plant-based beverages, while also improving the profitability of its white milk business.
