[Edaily Reporter YU JIN-HEE ] FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD ( FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD(106240)), a company specializing in light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, is accelerating its push into the high-value-added eco-friendly market by securing a contract for an energy efficiency project targeting a major manufacturer. FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD announced on the 5th that it had signed a supply contract with NEXENTIRE(002350) and Kepco ES, a company specializing in energy efficiency improvements, for the “NEXENTIRE Changnyeong Plant LED Lighting Energy Efficiency Project.”

Under this contract, FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD will participate as the design, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor. The company will oversee the replacement and installation of approximately 38,000 existing lighting fixtures with high-efficiency, eco-friendly LED lighting at NEXENTIRE’s Changnyeong Plant in Gyeongnam by October 31.

The total contract value is 2.18 billion won, which accounts for 24.3% of FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD’s first-quarter revenue this year. This project aims to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce energy costs. Kepco ES, an energy efficiency service provider, has adopted the ESCO (Energy Service Company) model, under which it makes an upfront investment in construction costs and recoups its investment through future energy savings. This allows the end-user to upgrade to high-efficiency equipment without incurring economic or technical burdens.

Recently, the domestic energy efficiency market has been showing structural growth, driven by the government’s carbon neutrality policies and the expansion of the “Energy Supplier Efficiency Improvement Mandate” (EERS). The scale of EERS-related investments surged from 24.4 billion won in 2020 to 79.3 billion won in 2023. The global LED lighting market is also projected to expand to approximately $110 billion (157 trillion won) by 2026.

FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD plans to expand its business-to-business (B2B) reach into energy-intensive foundational industries—such as automotive, chemicals, and steel—by leveraging its track record of supplying NEXENTIRE, a leading player in the tire industry, and its experience working in a consortium with KEPCO ES, a subsidiary of the state-owned power utility KEPCO.

FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD emphasized, “This order was secured based on our proprietary technology and extensive project execution experience,” adding, “We will diversify our business portfolio by developing high-value-added product lines that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) technology, going beyond the simple supply of high-efficiency equipment.”
