[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] CJ ENM CO., Ltd.(035760)announced on the 6th that it has decided to sign a contract with KBOP, the marketing subsidiary of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), to secure the wireless and broadcast broadcasting rights for the KBO League for the five-year period from 2027 to 2031.

According to CJ ENM CO., Ltd., the contract is scheduled to be signed by the end of this month, with the specific date to be finalized following discussions between the parties.
Once this contract is signed, CJ ENM CO., Ltd. will exclusively secure the wireless and broadcast broadcasting rights and video business rights for KBO League exhibition games, the regular season, the postseason, and the All-Star Game for the five-year period from 2027 to 2031. The rights also include KBO-organized events such as the KBO Rookie Draft, the KBO Awards Ceremony, and the Golden Glove Awards Ceremony.
However, broadcast services via Internet Protocol (IP)-based IPTV are excluded from the scope of the contract. At the request of KBOP, the contract amount, payment schedule, and specific contract details will not be disclosed to protect trade secrets.
