[Edaily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] CJ ENM CO., Ltd.(035760)is accelerating its push into global markets in the second half of the year by leveraging its content intellectual property (IP) and platforms. The company’s strategy is to expand its content distribution channels beyond its existing core markets—such as Japan, Southeast Asia, and North America—into Shinhung markets like India, the Middle East, and South America, while also diversifying the revenue models of its proprietary platforms, including TVING and EMNET INC. (ENPLUS).

According to CJ ENM CO., Ltd. on the 7th, the company plans to further enhance its content distribution competitiveness in the second half of this year. In its existing core markets, it will strengthen bulk content deals and individual sales, while in new markets, it will seek out local partnerships.

In particular, the company is moving beyond simply selling rights to older titles to expand market-specific distribution strategies, such as simultaneous global releases, local prime-time scheduling, and the creation of dedicated time slots. This reflects a trend toward strengthening a structure where content IP is produced once and monetized repeatedly across multiple regions and platforms.

A prime example is its entry into the Indian market. Last month, CJ ENM CO., Ltd. signed a strategic content partnership with Amazon Prime Video India. With a population of approximately 1.4 billion and a rapidly growing over-the-top (OTT) market, India is considered a key strategic market attracting the attention of global media companies.

TVING is also expanding its overseas distribution channels. Last year, TVING formed partnerships with HBO Max and Disney+ and entered a total of 18 countries—including Japan and 17 other Asia-Pacific nations—through branded channels.

The content lineup for the second half of the year has also been structured in line with the IP expansion strategy. Content adapted from webtoons and web novels, such as tvN’s *Gift* starring Kim Woo-bin and the TVING Original *Even Lottery Winners Go to Work* starring Lee Jun-hyuk, are set to premiere soon. Among content adapted from films, tvN’s *Creepy Romance*, starring Park Eun-bin, Yang Se-jong, and Ong Seong-wu, is in the works. tvN’s *100 Days of Lies* is also cited as a highly anticipated title for the second half of the year.

Seasonal variety shows based on proven IP will also continue. tvN’s *Unnie’s Direct Delivery 3*, *Bogum Magical 2*, and *Iron Girls 3*, as well as Mnet’s *Street World Fighter: Director’s War* and the spin-off of *Pung Pung: Earth Arcade* titled *Space Rice Cake Shop*, will be released sequentially.

The theatrical lineup is also cited as a factor driving revenue growth in the second half of the year. CJ ENM CO., Ltd. is set to release films such as “Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub,” “Paradise Lost,” and “International Market 2.” While securing stable revenue streams by supplying dramas and variety shows to OTT platforms and terrestrial broadcasters, the company aims for additional growth through its film lineup.

In the platform sector, expanding the scale of TVING and ENPLUS is key. TVING, the cornerstone of the media platform division, is focusing on expanding its subscriber base and user base through original content and flagship variety shows. In the second half of the year, it will also work to maximize advertising revenue in line with the KBO postseason and the year-end peak season.

Tving continues to see revenue growth, driven by an increase in subscribers and the success of its original content. In the second quarter of 2026, Tving’s revenue reached 140.7 billion won, a 41.4% increase year-over-year. During the same period, Tving’s advertising revenue also rose by 52%. According to Mobile Index data from last June, its monthly active users (MAU) exceeded 9.7 million.

In the TV advertising sector, the company plans to secure additional revenue by strengthening integrated campaigns tailored to advertisers and expanding AI-based advertising products. It aims to revitalize its advertising business by striking a balance between linear channel advertising and digital advertising.

The music division is pursuing the diversification and globalization of artist IP. Artists JO1 and INI, signed to Rapone Entertainment, will continue to release albums and go on tour. KO1KEYZ, a global boy group formed following the success of “Produce 101 Japan: New World,” will also begin full-scale activities. ALPHA DRIVE ONE is also set to release a new album.

Mnet is set to reignite its success with “Street World Fighter: Director’s War,” an expanded version of its original dance series. It will also strengthen its competitiveness in global live events such as “KCON LA 2026” and the “2026 MAMA AWARDS.”

Mnet Plus, the global K-pop content platform, is expanding its content lineup and diversifying its business model. Mnet Plus’s revenue for the second quarter of 2026 increased by 167.3% compared to the same period last year.

In the commerce sector, creator commerce will serve as a key growth driver in the second half of the year. CJ ENM CO., Ltd. plans to expand short-form and live commerce by leveraging creators’ content production capabilities and fan bases, and to develop products co-created with creators. The company aims to strengthen its competitiveness in content commerce by establishing a creator commerce model that integrates content production with product planning and sales.

The company will also work to increase new app user acquisition and purchase conversion rates. It will focus on enhancing data-driven personalized recommendations to boost customer loyalty.

Meanwhile, CJ ENM CO., Ltd. announced on the 6th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 1.2033 trillion won and operating profit of 33.4 billion won for the second quarter of 2026. The company explained that strengthening the competitiveness of its content IP and expanding its platform scale were key factors in improving profitability.
