[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #AU BRANDZ Co., Ltd achieved its best-ever quarterly results, driven by growth in the “All Season” category, which is less affected by overseas operations and seasonal fluctuations.
AU BRANDZ Co., Ltd announced on the 13th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 30.3 billion won and operating profit of 6.3 billion won in the second quarter of this year. These figures represent increases of 119% and 143%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin stood at 20.7%. Following first-quarter revenue of 18.5 billion won and operating profit of 2.0 billion won, the company continued its growth momentum in the second quarter, bringing its cumulative revenue for the first half of the year to 48.8 billion won. The company is targeting annual revenue of 120 billion won this year.
This growth was driven by overseas operations. Second-quarter overseas revenue reached 13.9 billion won, a 5.3-fold increase from the same period last year, and its share of total revenue expanded to 46%. The combined share of overseas and foreign customer revenue—including sales to foreign residents in Korea—stood at 66.8%.
In particular, sales in Greater China reached 12.7 billion won, a 6.9-fold increase compared to the same period last year. This growth resulted from a combination of expanding store openings in key commercial districts in China and increased sales of seasonal categories. AU BRANDZ Co., Ltd opened 11 new stores in China during the second quarter and currently operates a total of 25 stores. The company plans to expand its store count in China to 40 by the end of the year.
Domestic sales also rose 46% year-over-year to 16.4 billion won. Offline sales increased by 74%, while online sales rose by 17%. Increased sales to foreign customers at major offline stores in Seongsu and Myeongdong, along with expanded sales of new Mary Jane and sneaker products, contributed to the results.
By product category, sales for this season’s collection reached 26.7 billion won, a 3.6-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Sales of Mary Janes rose by 398%, while sales of sneakers and apparel increased by 213%, broadening the company’s revenue structure from a focus on seasonal items to product lines that can be sold year-round.
AU BRANDZ Co., Ltd is expanding its overseas presence, having recently opened stores at The Venetian in Macau and ION Orchard in Singapore. The company plans to increase its global flagship stores from the current 43 to 60 by the end of the year and expand its presence in China to 40 stores.
AU BRANDZ Co., Ltd. stated, “The second quarter of 2026 was a quarter in which the transformation of our global business structure went beyond a mere strategic declaration and was proven through actual sales and profits,” adding, “The simultaneous expansion of store openings in key Chinese commercial districts and category growth this season enabled us to achieve a 2.2-fold increase in sales and an operating profit margin in the 20% range.”
The spokesperson added, “In the second half of the year, we will execute our targets of 40 stores in China and 60 key global stores without a hitch to realize our roadmap of 120 billion won in annual revenue for 2026.”
